I remember the Numeral Hunter saying that the Dark Matter Dragon was intended to be basically the prison guard to the Numbers so they don't escape again... and he used a field spell that was apparently the new prison the leaders of the 12 dimensions are building for them.
'Tartarus the Dark Matter Galaxy' it was called.
