.... Desdemona-sensei....
What happened to her was just... it... it was awful...
...and they attacked because it was me they were after...! But she protected us!
... even after everything she's done for us, I couldn't help her!!

She's a Duel Monster, right? That's what I always heard from the older students when I was a first year....that she's actually from the Duel Monster world.
That means she's way tougher than a regular human, so...she has to be okay, right?

...the third years said that dangerous stuff used to happen here and in the city all the time. [She pinches the bridge of her nose.] I thought maybe it was done and over with, but...shit. This is almost too much to deal with...
We just came here to learn how to duel, dammit....why does this crap happen to us?

My first two years here were pretty uneventful. Nothing huge really happened, but this past year... it's been so crazy! So much crazy stuff has happened.
... I've sorta been wondering if me and Yuya meeting was what triggered all of this. If there really was something to Hibiki's prophecy thing. Everything started soon after he and I met.
Maybe it was just a coincidence and I'm being crazy but...
*He gives out a tired sigh.* None of us should be having to go through this.

[She wraps her arms around Yuma and pulls him close, putting a hand to the back of his head. She's never been the type of person to do this - to make emotional gestures like this, to get involved in weird stuff, to actually fight for something or someone, rather than just coasting along and backing away whenever things get too serious.
But she can't just back away from these three. So...she's trying something else.]
...if you need me to keep an eye on Yuya for a while. Just.

He slowly brings his arms up and holds onto her for a moment*

This really scared them. I think having someone around them will help.
*Typical Yuma. He's the one being targeted by the demons, yet he seems so much more concerned for the well-being of his friends, rather than himself.
After a moment, Yuma gradually breaks the hug.*
