Kiko. Yuya mentioned something about you wanting to find a supernatural doctor for Kotori?
.... I think we're going to need that.
Or... if anyone who sees this post can help at all, please...
...and, to whoever's in charge of the Sakana apartments ... a few of our windows are kinda... smashed.
I'm sorry. It was an accident. I'll take the full blame if needed.
Re: [Event]
I won't be able to help her too much until she reawakens, but I do have a few questions to ask you. ... You should probably sit down as it is, I can tell you're not in the best shape, either.
Re: [Event]
*Yuma nods again and sits down on a chair by the bed.*
I'll answer whatever you want to know.
Re: [Event]
First of all, can you confirm if this is the first time anything like this has happened to her?
Re: [Event]
Yeah.
I've known Kotori since we were both 4-years-old and she's never had anything like this happen to her.
Re: [Event]
Which leads into the next question. Has something stressed her or worried her, recently? You mentioned headaches, but do you think anything could've triggered them, knowing this now?
As well, has she ever mentioned anything about her family? Sometimes things like this can be hereditary...
Re: [Event]
Yeah, I got my ability when I was 16 too.
*Yuma falls silent for a moment as he thinks.*
Well, these headaches started around maybe, mid-November? Though they weren't too bad then, just on and off for her. She was kinda upset and stressed at the Heartland anniversary, so we all thought it was just the stress of that causing them.
But once the anniversary passed, that's when they started getting worse for her.
And her family was super normal! I mean, I never really saw her dad much, he was a salaryman and kinda worked a lot. Her mom was the one who she was the closest too and she was super nice. Her grandmother and my grandmother used to meet up a lot too.
So, unless it's something that's really far down her family line like it is with me, I can't think of anything else that'd make it hereditary.
Re: [Event]
Of course, this is all just assumption. I'll need to question her too once she wakes up and feels coherent enough to talk. But I think it's clear what the headaches likely were. They're "build-up".
Re: [Event]
"Build-up"?
Re: [Event]
The energy that's needed for this builds up naturally inside of me. Eventually, that energy can get to be too much, and it can cause a backlash. While I don't need to use my ability all of the time, I need to use it in some form almost every day to avoid such a build up.
It's very likely that in her case, something triggered for her ability to awaken, but because she didn't know about it, or her instincts said there was no need to use it, it started to build up, causing her headaches.
Re: [Event]
So the energy built up and it just exploded because she wasn't using it?
*He looks over at Kotori for a moment while processing this information. Eventually he takes in and lets out a deep breath, as if composing himself.*
Okay. So, at least we know how to avoid it exploding like that again, but we won't know more until you get to talk with her, yeah?
Re: [Event]
Correct. As it is, knowing about it won't help anything if she doesn't know how to use it. And given what happened... I wouldn't be too surprised if she's resistant to it at first. Either consciously, or subconsciously.
*... waves their hand though* It happens though. It's not anything that might be specific to her or her personality, but when a person realizes what they can do, sometimes fear can grip them, even if it's better for their well-being to accept it.
She'll need support, whatever the case.
Re: [Event]
*Looking at Kotori, Yuma knew that this was going to be a scary and confusing thing for her to go through and he knew she might end up fearing the power at first because of what she did to the living room and what she did to him. But that was all an accident and he needed to be there to reassure her about it, to tell her it's okay.
Reaching out, he gently holds Kotori's hand with his own.*
I'll make sure she gets all the support she needs with this.
And no matter what... no matter what we have to go through, or what we find out, I'll stay by her side and walk through it with her.
Every step of the way.
*You hear his voice distinctly crack as he finishes the sentence and see tears forming in his eyes. After a moment he uses his free hand to wipe the tears away, once again trying to compose himself.*
Re: [Event]
Re: [Event]
Ah, no, it's okay.
It's just... been a long week.
Re: [Event]
Once she wakes up, having a glass of water for her might be a good idea.
Re: [Event]
*Yuma nods.*
Okay. I'll make sure to have a glass of water ready for her.
Seriously, thank you for this.
Re: [Event]
Re: [Event]
I believe you'll be able to help her more than the hospital could.
*He gives out a bit of a sigh, knowing there isn't much more that could be done right now.*
We'll contact you again in a few days, when Kotori is feeling up to it.
Re: [Event]
They nod though, straightening up*
Of course. Here. *they take out a paper and pen, and writes out a number, contact, and an address*
I have a small clinic now opened up where I live. If you both need to, you can come, but I'm more than willing to come by again. I'll have some questions for her, too.
Until then, try to keep her comfortable and relaxed. Right now it'll be important for her to try to keep her emotions in check.
Re: [Event]
Thank you.
