[STORY]

Yuma found himself walking steadily along a thin, crumbling, pathway. Step by careful step, he seemed to be making his way towards something, while trying to avoid the complete sheer drop that was on either side of him. It was so dark here that he could not even see the bottom...
...if there even was a bottom.
Suddenly, he found himself at the end of the pathway. Blocking his way was a huge foreboding door which was bound with chains and had the face of a demon, it's eyes shining brightly. Beyond the door there seemed to be an intense light, but Yuma couldn't tell what was causing it. Yuma looked up at the door apprehensively. What was this thing? Why was he stood here before it? What did it want from him?
As he wondered this, a booming sinister voice came from the door and echoed all around him.

"Whoever opens this door will obtain a great new power, but with such a reward comes a great risk. The path that is to be followed will be one full of hardships.
Do you have the courage to follow this path?"

Nervously, Yuma began stepping back from the door slowly. What did it mean saying "great risk" and "hardships"?
All of a sudden, as Yuma stepped backwards, the side of the pathway under his foot collapsed and caused Yuma to lose his balance. He fell of the path and plummeted quickly into the abyss below...

"ARRGHOOF!!"

Yuma found himself crashing to the floor of his dorm room at Osiris Red after falling out of the hammock he slept in. As he slowly picked himself up to a sitting position on the floor, his room-mate, Yuya, quickly looked over the top bunk and down at his friend.

"Yuma! Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah." Yuma replied, rubbing his head. Yuya frowned with a little concern.

"That dream, again?"

Yuma looked up at him and nodded.

"Isn't this the third or fourth time this past week you've had that dream?" Yuya questioned. "Don't repeating dreams usually mean something?"
Yuma slowly stood up from where he was and laughed a little.

"It's nothing! It's probably my head making up crazy things from that talk I had with Akae last week about powers and stuff!"

With that, Yuma idly looked down at the alarm clock they had on the desk and his face dropped.

"URK! WE'RE LATE!"

"Wait... WE ARE!? I DIDN'T HEAR THE ALARM GO OFF!"

With that the two boys quickly launched themselves into trying to get ready for the days classes as quick as they could, before running out of the dorm to be greeted by a very unamused look on the face of Yuzu, who had been stood outside waiting for them so they could walk to the academy together.
As they walked together towards the main academy building, Yuma's thoughts wandered away from Yuzu scolding them for being late and back to the door in his dream. It was silly... but he just couldn't get the dream out of his head.

It really meant nothing, right?

Argh!! I keep having this stupid weird dream lately!

I'm in this weird place and I see this huge door with a demon's face on it, but it's all chained up or something. Then it says something like whoever opens the door gains a power, but there's some risk and hardships or something like that, then I fall off this ledge and every time that happens I fall out of my hammock and land on my head!!

Still, having repetitive dreams like that... it's usually not a good sign of anything.

It's probably just something my head made up! It's nothing!!

I had repetitive dreams before, too. ... Actually I kinda still have them sometimes.

I wouldn't disregard them entirely, at least.

But at least yours didn't have a big scary demon door.

I'm just saying, don't disregard it entirely. ... Unless if you have an idea of where you might've gotten demon doors from.

I have no idea at all.

I guess all I can do is wait and see if anything happens.

Are we talking Judeo-Christian, India, Sumerian, Japanese, Chinese?

Haaa, I don't know stuff like that!!

Hmm, it has a massive mouth full of sharp pointy teeth which get bigger at the corners of the mouth, the eyes were shiny and it sorta has two sets of horns. The higher set kinda curl above it's head, I think.

It's just some weird thing my head made up, so it's probably none of those things anyway!

It's a western demon.

And if you've been dreaming it repeatedly, fifth rate, around these parts it means you got yourself stuck in weird magic nonsense.

The dream first happened the same night Yuya went missing and when we talked about powers and stuff on my previous entry, so I probably just got it from that talk!

I haven't done anything to be stuck in "weird magic nonsense"!

Being on this island period is enough to be stuck in "Weird magic nonsense".

Trust me, I'm an expert.

So, if it does mean something, what should I do? Just see if it carries on?

Hmm, I don't think I have... but I guess if I forgot, I wouldn't remember it...

... We could try hypnosis, but there's no evidence and sending you to the island's hypnosis expert is a bad idea.

Hopefully it's just crazy dreams from talking to me too much, and me being Ms. Spooky.

This is why we said to try the youth-level Solid Vision at first.

Awwwaaah, come on, I know I can handle the normal setting!!

I'm just saying you should try the youth setting first before moving on to the advanced stuff!

It's how everybody does it back in Maiami City, really!

....that's a really weird sounding dream, though.

Yeah, it's really weird! Everyone seems to think it means something, but it's probably nothing!

I think it means you're probably eating weird stuff before you go to bed.

Well... I keep a good supply of chocolate and other candy in one of the drawers in the dorm room...!
...some of it may of been in there for a while though...

It still tasted good though!!

Pretty much.

Take it from me. Any foreboding dream like that, repetitive or not, usually means something.
And if a big demon door is trying to offer you power, it's best to be wary of it.

Okay, okay... I'll try and be wary of it.
I'm sure it's nothing though! Maybe just something I ate, or... something.
