Keeping track of what?

Ah. It was when my parents disappeared. I'd just... stopped keeping track of how long it had been, that's all.

Your parents disappeared? Do you mind if I ask how?

They're adventurers, so they travelled a lot.
They went out on an expedition and they just... never came back.
I still believe they're alive somewhere though!

Six years is kinda a long time to go without hearing anything... do you know where they were supposed to be going, back then?

No, they didn't say where, but that wasn't anything out of the ordinary! Sometimes the places they went to were places not a lot of people knew about, so they often couldn't tell us where exactly they were going, y'know, so the wrong kind of people didn't find it.

I think I kinda get it...

It still is a long time, but I don't fault you for not giving up hope. It's not like you have any certainty about it.

Besides, it's always better to look at things in a positive light. No point in getting yourself down about a "maybe".

Exactly!! There's no point in feeling down about it if there's still some hope! So I'll carry on believing in them!

That's the spirit! Long as there's hope, you'll at least be certain to find an answer, one day.

Still, your parents were adventurers? Do you have any stories about that?

Oh boy! DO I! My dad used to tell me stories about what they did all the time! He also taught me a load of stuff on adventuring and how to survive in different situations.
You should come to my dorm sometime and see some of their artefacts that I have with me!! Some of them have really interesting stories behind them!

I'll be by soon enough! I'd definitely like to see them and hear them.

... At least you knew who your parents were. I've never gotten conclusive evidence on mine. I think I did but I might of deliriously experienced it.

I don't know. Sometimes they weren't able to say where they were going, you know, to avoid the wrong kinds of people finding real remote places, so it wasn't anything out of the ordinary that they didn't tell us where.
