[STORY]

"What... is this place?"

Floating along, Hope looked around at the darkened area he was in. A large amount of mechanical objects, mostly gears, surrounded him, but he had no idea what the place he was in was, or how he even got there. While inspecting the structure closely, a glowing from the corner of his eye caught his attention. Turning towards it, he could see that it was a card that was suspended in mid-air not far from him.

"Number 66: Master Key Beetle..." Hope said to himself. "... the card that mysterious woman left to Yuma." He floated closer to it. "She called it 'A key that can open all doors' and was given to us as a starting point into finding out the answers both Yuma and I seek."

Stood before it, Hope raised his hand towards the card, but as he did, the glowing card began to transform until it became a distinct curved 'question mark' shape.

"What is this...?!"

The item suddenly began to move away, exploding in a tremendous amount of light. Once the light cleared, Hope witnessed the object attaching itself to what appeared to be the steering wheel of a ship. Looking around through the darkness, he could see that he was now in a different part of the structure; a ships cockpit. Although this was all new to him, the technology and power of the ship felt eerily familiar to him.
As the ship powered up, a holographic green globe appeared with a number of blinking red marks on it. "A map...?" It seemed like the ship was pointing them towards something.
But what?

"Is this ship and the map related to the knowledge Yuma and I are looking for...?" Hope questioned. Either way, this was an important development and one he needed to alert Yuma to straight away.

As the entire of Duel Academy slept, a sudden dimensional rift began opening up above the harbour of the island. The force of it sent a sudden shockwave out, rocking the island.

"W-W-WHAAA!!"

Yuma yelled as the shock from the tremor woke him up, making him fall from his hammock onto the floor. Yuya also woke up in a similar panic.

"W-what was that?!" he exclaimed loudly, before he looked down at Yuma. "Y-Yuma...?"

Yuma was sat on the floor, looking at the Emperor's Key hung around his neck which was glowing wildly. He then looked up at the desk in the room to see two cards from his deck were also glowing. Quickly Yuma grabbed them, to see that it was Hope and Number 66.
Not wasting any time, Yuma jumped up in a flash and ran out of the door.

"H-Hey! Yuma! Wait up!" Yuya quickly climbed down from the bunk and followed his friend out of the door.

Outside, what awaited them, was a large swirling vortex of clouds and energy in the sky, above the harbour. As the two boys approached the edge of the cliff, near the bridge, Yuma's key shined more brightly than before. It suddenly let out a massive crackle of energy that shot up towards the vortex. This made the vortex explode into bright light, making both boys cover their eyes.
When the light subsided, they looked to see a massive structure coming out from the sky, flying down, almost hitting the bridge as it passed over it, then finally coming down towards the harbour, scrapping the warehouses and helicopter pad as it did.

Both boys just stared at the structure in shock for a few moments afterwards.

"What IS that thing?" Yuya questioned. "It looks like some kind of... airship?"

Yuma had no idea, but what he did know was this 'airship' just seemed to come out of his Emperor's Key.

[EVENT]

*If your character is at Osiris Red, or if they were around late enough, they would of noticed the shockwave and flashes of bright light. Inspecting what's going on will lead them to both Yuma and Yuya by the bridge, looking down at what appears to be a large mechanical airship which is now parked on the helicopter pad on top of the warehouses on the harbour.*

*Hitoshi was out Way Too Late anyway, so the "airship" coming in like this was something he couldn't really ignore.

He uh. Ends up next to Yuya and Yuma, looking down-- they probably would've entirely missed him even if they weren't staring in amazement*

... what is that.

*don't ask why Kai was out. maybe something was eating him.

But one thing's for sure,, after Hitoshi likely almost freaks you two out, he came running when he felt the shockwave-- and now he has no idea what he's looking at. He hangs back for the moment.*

[Yuzu was asleep in her room in Osiris Red - when she was abruptly awoken by the din coming from outside. She awakens with a start and a "WHUH!"

A few seconds later, she's outside in her pajamas, wielding a baseball bat. Before too long, she finds herself at the harbor with Yuya and Yuma, eyes widened.]

....holy crap.

[Gongenzaka shows up in swim trunks and a t-shirt with a towel over his shoulder because he was night-swimming, because of course he was. He goes right up to the rest of the group, jaw hanging.]

Wha...what on Earth is that?!

*After being freaked out a little by Hitoshi's arrival, Yuma notices more of his friends turn up one after the other.*

I really don't know what it is but... I think it just came outta my pendant!

There was all this light from it and then that thing came out of the sky!

... That. *he points to the airship, or whatever it is* Managed to come out of your pendant...?

... I shouldn't be too surprised, but... Are you sure it came from there?

*Yuma nods and holds the pendant up.*

As soon as I got outside, a load of light from this thing shot up into the sky and then that thing came out of it! So it either came from my pendant or it made it so that ship could get here.

But...what is it doing here?!

I don't know but... my pendant wasn't the only thing reacting to it.

*With that, he also holds up two cards he has in his hand, which are both still glowing faintly. One is Hope's card and the other is 'Number 66' which Gongenzaka will recognize as the card Yuma was given not to long ago.*

...that's the card you got from that person...!

A person? A person gave you weird cards that make giant whatever-that-is's appear?

*Kai finally speaks up, still a little dumbfounded*

::It should be noted that while you're all talking, a certain semi-white haired youth is trotting past you all, in his Obelisk Blue jacket, well, actually more running than trotting. Kai, you should do something about that.::

*whoa hey I'm gonna grab you*

Koyo, what are you doing.

Going to look at it, I'm not letting this chance slide by me.

::Trying to wriggle out of whatever you're using to hold onto me, I AM GOING TO SEE THAT THING.::

Maybe you should ask the guy who apparently owns it, first.

*drags him to Yuma*

*Yuma smiles and greets Koyo with a wave as Kai drags Koyo towards him.*

Hey, Koyo!! Guess you came to see what was happening too!

... You own that?

*He rubs the back of his head, smiling sheepishly.*

Well... it's still pretty new to me, but since it seemed to come out of my pendant, I guess it kinda does!

... ::Stares at you with his eyebrows so high they might be in the stratosphere.::

I bet you wanna check it out, right??
We should all go down there and do that!

... I would like to go and check it out. Ancient Technology that hasn't been blocked by the staff for once is something I have interest in.

This seems like exactly the kind of thing we should be telling the staff about BEFORE we go poking around in it.

[Galaxy-Eyes is curled up around her, kicking the air with her leg.]

"...Shut that...damn thing off..."

[She rolls over, grabbing Alex's pillow and pulling it over her eyes.]
