We got to talk with Ancient Fairy Dragon and discovered a whoooole bunch of stuff about what we're looking into, but I think we're definitely gonna need some help.

So hey! Long time, no see!
Kotori and I were able to go back to our apartment at Sakana! We spent quite a while hiding out at Kaikori after the whole incident at Heartland, but things are... kinda better now!
Well, we've been told to be careful when out in public for now, until some super complicated legal stuff is dealt with, but otherwise we're hoping we can get slowly get back to our regular lives.
Kotori and I were able to go back to our apartment at Sakana! We spent quite a while hiding out at Kaikori after the whole incident at Heartland, but things are... kinda better now!
Well, we've been told to be careful when out in public for now, until some super complicated legal stuff is dealt with, but otherwise we're hoping we can get slowly get back to our regular lives.
I haven't updated in a while! Been kinda busy with the holidays, the SJL and my work at SAI so I haven't had much of a chance!

They're starting to think they're at a point where they might be leaving the Astral World to run mostly on it's own, with them checking in now and then to see how things are going, but before they do, they want me and Hope to visit soon. Apparently a lot of the Astrals there really wanna meet us!
I'm hoping to find some time to take the airship there and see how the place is getting on!

Starting today I have a new job!!
Hope and I are gonna be 'leads' in a new research and exploration team for SAI, along with Ruka, who is their researcher!
I'm suuuuper excited to get to do this and actually use the airship for something! We'll be getting to go and explore different worlds in the 12 Dimensions so we can learn about them and form bonds with the inhabitants there!
Though we'll also be doing other stuff for SAI that'll require dimensional travel, like returning lost Duel Spirits to their homes and offering a transport service.
Of course, I'm still doing my dueling too and SAI's being super flexible to work around my dueling commitments, so that's great!!
Oh, we were told we can take on volunteers for our research outings, so if any of my buds are interested, let me know!!

*Kotori and Yuma can be found sitting together in the lobby area of SAI.
Kotori had been to use one of the reinforced rooms that the organisation had in order to do training with her abilities in her demon form, with Yuma there for support and help. She had been doing this regularly once or twice a week for the last few months, but she found it always left her feeling very exhausted afterwards, so they always grabbed a drink from the vending machines and sat in the lobby for a bit until Kotori felt she was rested enough to tackle the walk home.

Kotori and I will be spending the New Year in Heartland with our families. Hope's coming along too! My parents are going to be visiting from the Astral World and Kotori's parents will both be coming over to the house New Years Eve. It's gonna be a lot of fun!
After what this year has thrown at us, especially at Kotori, I think the downtime with family is gonna be something that'll be good for us both.
So, I think I've told most people that we know rough versions of what happened over a month ago, but I felt it'd probably be best to do an overall update here on Kotori and her health.
She's thankfully back to full strength now. It took a while for her to recover physically from how much using her abilities in the demon form drained her. The first week she was home was super rough as she barely had the strength to do anything so I had to help her out a lot, but I wanna say a huge thanks to our family and friends who came by to help us out too. Whether it was helping me with housework stuff, or cooking meals for us so we didn't have to live on conbini food all the time, it was all super appreciated!
Her mental health is still pretty shot though and that's the next thing we need to tackle. She's finding it difficult to be motivated, or to even go outside, which really isn't like her.
Yuto suggested we should look at getting her therapy through SAI. He said they have a few therapists that understand about supernatural stuff and it's where he went earlier in the year.
The demon features haven't appeared unexpectedly since the incident. I think she can control it a little better now, but once she feels up to it, I'm going to start taking her up to the Armory where she'd be able to practise her abilities in that new form without any fear of accidentally hurting someone or damaging anything.
Obviously we'll have to pace it and not practise for long periods or anything so she doesn't exhaust herself again.
We've got a really long way to go, but I'm gonna walk it with her every step of the way, no matter what it takes.

He looks incredibly troubled over something, which could explain why his dueling hadn't exactly been great recently. It was like he'd lose focus on what he was doing and has his mind on something else entirely, quite often costing him the duel.

I turn 20 this Wednesday and Kotori gave me an awesome surprise today!!
Turns out her dad knows someone who rents out an apartment near the beach to holidaymakers, but didn't really have anyone staying for this week. Her dad knew it was my birthday, so asked Kotori if we wanted to stay for a few days as he could swing us a discounted price for it, so she decided to book it as a surprise!
Come to think of it, this is kinda the first time we're actually getting to take a holiday together! We're only gonna be there for three days, but it's gonna be fun!!

They said that if I give them some warning, and if the Astrals are okay with it, we could take the airship there and visit them sometime in the future!

Oh man guys, I am so excited!! My parents gave us a surprise visit and they're staying for the next few weeks!! I have so much catching up to do with them!
My dad and I are thinking of having a camping trip this weekend, just like we used to do when I was a kid! It's gonna be the BEST!

So, er, If you can see this, I have a weird question for you all.
Is there anything that seems a little off to you? Stuff you don't remember? Like you have special cards but don't remember how you got them? Or that you can do something now you couldn't do before?
Anything that you can't really pinpoint to a specific event or anything and you feel any explanation you come up with sounds more like an excuse?
I have some cards that are super special, upgrades to Hope, but neither me or Hope know how we got them when we really should remember! There's one other I've spoken to who also has a special card that he can't remember exactly how he got it.
Also Kotori doesn't remember how she got so good at dueling. I mean, she's suddenly playing at a professional level and doesn't remember how she got that good. Her telekinesis abilities have gotten suddenly loads better too.
So we're kinda curious if anyone else has had any weird experiences like this?
